Glasgow Elopement at Cameron House

I felt so fortunate when Ben & Jane asked me to document their day. The couple are from London and decided on a beautiful venue in the Scottish Highlands to say ‘I do’. Cameron House on Loch Lomond was the backdrop for their nuptials.

When I arrived at Cameron House to document their day, Jane was already in the makeup artists’ chair, getting glammed up by Cody. Once she was ready, I shot some portraits of her and bid farewell, to find Ben. We then made our way to the ceremony room where we witnessed an emotional, intimate celebration. With just 5 guests (and myself) I felt incredibly privileged to have been a part of their day.

After they had been told they were legally man and wife, we headed out into the bar where the couple and their families celebrated with champagne and a great view of the loch. When everyone had finished their drinks, I took them outside to do a few group photos, a confetti shot followed by couple portraits.

We all headed back in to sit down for speeches. The speeches were sincerely heart-felt and I found myself getting emotional at the lovely words that were being shared. Once we’d all finished crying, I left them to enjoy their meal and headed to Edinburgh for a little weekend break.
