How to start your wedding day in the best way possible
Your wedding day is a big deal. Whether you’re having an intimate ceremony with 30 guests or a big shebang with over 100 people. How you start your day will set the tone for your whole wedding so you want to make sure it starts AMAZINGLY! Here are my top tips to ensure you have the best start to your wedding.
1. Be around the right people
Surround yourself with people you love and who love you. You’ll want people who are supportive, positive and loads of fun to be around. We want pure good vibes in the prep stage!

2. Time to face the music
Create a playlist full of feel good tunes to listen to while you’re getting ready. The best prep spaces for me are ones where I walk in and people are singing, having a little dance and generally having a great time. Music is so important for this, so make sure you have a killer playlist of your favourite tunes to listen to.

3. Put your phone away
You don’t need it. Spend this time being fully immersed in your day, talking to your friends and family and enjoying every second. If you are going to do this, I do recommend have a dedicated person in your party that can deal with any problems or challenges that arise in case of emergency that will hold their own and are good in a crisis. They can be your point of contact during the prep stage.

4. Get organised ahead of time
Pack your bag the night before. Talk to your prep party about what time you want them up and in your room to start hair & make-up. Bring spare pants. (You never know when you might need them). Make a list and check it twice. You’ll also want to make sure you’ve got all your bits that you want your photographer to photograph for detail shots (shoes, flowers, veil, jewellery, invites etc) if you want those images.

5. Tidy up
I don’t know about you but I’m someone who cannot relax in an untidy space. Tidy space = tidy mind for me. One thing I want you to think about ties back to the photos. Do you want clutter and mess in the background of your important getting ready shots? Of course not! So keep the prep space as clutter free as possible. Also, this will help you to not forget stuff on your way to the next venue.
