3 Reasons to Book A Couple Shoot
Most couples come to me saying “we hate having our pictures taken” and I’m personally on a mission to get them to change their minds. One of the best ways to overcome this, is to get in front of the camera. Practice makes perfect.

In this post, I’m going to share with you my top 3 reasons to book a couple shoot.
Firstly, I’d just like to say that you don’t need an excuse to have lovely photos taken of you and your partner. You don’t need to be engaged or going through any other big life events to want some profesh portraits. Which leads me nicely into my first point.
Document Your Life
If you want a cool way to celebrate your love for your partner then booking in a couple session is the perfect way to document your relationship at any point. You might have found yourself in a new relationship, celebrating an anniversary or maybe you’ve booked a trip somewhere and want someone to help document part of it. Or you realised you have no nice, recent photos of you and your partner and the selfie stick won’t cut it this time. Your life and relationship deserves to be documented so take away the stress of the DIY and hire a pro to nab some fun, relaxed images of you and your best mate.

If A Wedding Is On The Cards…
Booking in a couple shoot can be really handy if you are planning to propose/getting married for a few reasons:
- It’s a nice way to have your proposal documented followed by a cute engagement shoot – then you can share the news on social with high-quality photos
- It gives you lovely images of the two of you to send out on your wedding website/save the dates – you can also display them at your wedding if you’re planning on doing a big photo wall with pictures of you and your partner from various points in your lives
- If you’re a bit camera shy, it’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, gel with your photographer and prep you for the couple photos on your wedding day

Consider It A Practice Run!
If you’re unsure of who to book as your photographer for your wedding day, then a couple shoot can be a trial run. You can get to know the photographer better, see how they work and figure out if you click. It’s likely that your photographer will be with you for up to 10 hours (or more) on your wedding day so you’ll want to know if they can match your vibe.

And there you have it, my top 3 reasons to book a couple shoot.
